Pro Team Changes in Call of Duty: Ghosts

In the past 72 hours there has a been an outrageous amount of roster changes in the competitive world of Call of Duty. All being some of the biggest names in the Pro World have either been kicked from their teams or have just simply left their teams to join another team! Starting with Jordan "JKap" Kaplan announcing that he was released from OpTic Gaming on December 10th with a short and brief tweet. Taking the entire community by surprise! While the hundreds of thousands of OpTic Gaming fans were letting this news sink in, word came out that CompLexity Lives Clay "Clayster" Eubanks was either being released from the team or being replaced. But all confusion was cleared up when on his own twitter page he announced that he indeed was being dropped from the team. Making his own Twitlonger explaining that he was oblivious to him getting dropped. He had no idea, and that the teams reasons for it were unjustified. Very shortly after the second announcement of a player getting dropped, another roster change was indeed in place! CompLexity live tweeted out that they had a new edition to the team, Damon "Karma" Barlow. Who then tweeted out that he indeed left his former team EnVyus who was looking for a new 4th player on their team. Now with this announcement the whole Call of Duty community was lost. Wondering who was going to fill that last spot in OpTic and who was going to fill that lost spot in nV. Then some time later just as things seemed to be cooling down, Jevon "Goonjar" Gooljar was proud to announced that he left Team Kaliber and was filling the spot on Team nV. Being such a swift decision not even an hour after nV's spot came open, that everyone knew it was because he was an nV fan!

Thinking it was all over some people had the idea in their heads that it wasn't going to stop. They were right. On Wednesday, December 11th Marcus "MBoZe" Banks made the surprising announcement that UNiTE Gaming was going to release their entire gaming roster of, Ricky "Ricky" Stacy, Renato "Saints" Forza, and Tosh "StaiNViLLe" McGruder. Then the ball started rolling again. Another player, Mike "SpaceLy" Smalls announced that he was going to be on the free agent list for the 2014 season parting his ways with the former Pro Team SoaR. Then another player from SoaR Gaming announced that he is leaving, Ray "Lyar" Loftus. You think that was the end? You are wrong. Then another player from the duo of Anthony "Methodz" Zinni and Garrett "Heist" Mercure, being the last two remaining players on SoaR, announced that they were also leaving SoaR. Methodz became a free agent like SpaceLy, and Heist was quitting competitive completely.

Slowing down to only two big names trending worldwide on twitter. Who is OpTic Gaming picking up as their new 4th man and who is Clayster going to join? Well with the amazing fans of OpTic Gaming they were right with #OpTicRicky trending worldwide on twitter, OpTic Gaming has indeed picked up Ricky as their new 4th for the 2014 Call of Duty Ghosts Season. Then a day after Clayster got dropped from CompLexity, Team Kaliber owner announces that Clayster will be filling Goonjars spot for the 2014 season.

Finally ending all the roster change drama that has been occurring, leaving mercy to the Call of Duty fans. Not long after Clayster's announcement to join tK, Team VanQuich had stated that, they are picking up 3 out of the 4 members from UNiTE and also picking up SpaceLy. Leaving Jkap, Slacked, Huhdle, Methodz, Lyar, and more to be free agents going into 2014.

Competitive Records of Black Ops 2

What an event for the fans of the Call of Duty competitive world! The Major League Gaming Fall Invitational Event at Full Sail University was a great one to go out at the end with a bang! On the 18th of October was the starting day of the final event of the year for Call of Duty Black Ops 2. Many pro teams were knocked out this day from their open bracket match-ups, but 4 big ones were able to come into the event strong and pull through for their fans the next day! Two of which are the biggest names in Call of Duty right now, compLexity Gaming and OpTic Gaming.

Coming into this event OpTic was hungry to win an event this year. Placing first place at UMG Chicago as it being the first tournament of the year but have only placed top 3 at every event leading up to this one. That was about 6 events including multiple MLG Championships and some other UMG events that they had attended. Also one of them being a GFinity event placed in London, France which was an invitation only tournament. OpTic Gaming has always been a major powerhouse in the Call of Duty franchise but in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 their skills have really been matched by teams such as EnVy, Impact CoD, Unite Gaming and mostly by compLexity Live.

Lets take a step back now to the beginning of Black Ops 2 career in November of 2012. It had been the biggest hit in all of the franchises games made to date. Record breaking viewers attending events of 50,000 max people or more, and home viewers watching the live streams of their favorite teams competing for the dollar prizes that are always rewarded. With teams such as OpTic Gaming becoming the "faces" of Call of Duty by streaming live for their fans bringing in record breaking viewers themselves, and teams like Impact Gaming and compLexity Gaming getting more tournament wins than that of any other team.

The Fall Invitational Tournament at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida was the event to see. This would be the second MLG Championship that compLexity Live would have been playing in after recently taking the champion reins from Impact CoD in the MLG Event in Anaheim, California! compLexity Live had played through the tournament flawlessly as OpTic Gaming had to fight through the losers bracket after losing in the Winners Bracket Round 3. They went flawlessly with the teams they faced in the losers bracket coming into the finals with a 4-3 loss in the final Search and Destroy match-up of the event. compLexity Live taking first place at yet another event and putting OpTic Gaming into second place leaving them distraught at not being able to win a second first place finish in the Call of Duty Black Ops 2 season. this would be the 4th event that compLexity would have beaten OpTic Gaming knocking them out of the tournament leaving them without a chance to compete in the finals anymore.
